Então Tertuliano disse que há um segundo tipo de conhecimento, a “ignorância sábia”. Ela acontece quando uma pessoa se desprende de todo o conhecimento, de todas as teorias, e olha diretamente – olha para a vida como ela é, sem ideias a respeito, permite que a realidade seja como é, depara-se com a realidade imediatamente, diretamente, sem conhecimento sobre ela; encontra, encara a realidade, permite que aquilo que é tenha seu florescimento. A pessoa simplesmente escuta a realidade, penetra na realidade e diz: “Eu não sei”. Esta é a criança sobre a qual Jesus fala – não é realmente uma criança, mas é como uma criança.

E eu digo sim. Abençoados os tolos, porque eles vão herdar todas as bênçãos da existência.

aprender a duvidar das nossas convicções...

... Por fim, para desenvolver o nosso potencial filosófico, é preciso aprender a duvidar das nossas convicções. Por entre as ideias que nos são mais afeiçoadas, é interessante tentar compreender como é que elas se desenvolveram no nosso espírito. Este exercício é tipicamente socrático e parece-me de grande utilidade. Se a ideia não foi registada de um modo passivo, é importante reconstruir a sua história... Quem vos falou nisso? Onde é que a ouvimos? Onde é que a lemos? Reconstituir o caminho de uma ideia, é ter consciência de que a maior parte delas (ideias) têm percursos caóticos que importa solidificar. E é, ao mesmo tempo, um convite para não nos alistarmos de maneira excessivamente rápida na defesa de uma convicção contra outra convicção.
